Chamomile Liquid Concentrate for Baths

Anti-inflammatory aroma bath

Composition: essential oil of camomile leaves and sprouts.

Formulation: vials of 190 mL, 1000 mL, and 10 L capacities. 

Properties: High quality essential oils show beneficial effect for one’s organism. They are recommended against skin inflammation and irritation. Thanks to its antiseptic and regenerating effects, it promotes wound healing. Essential oil of camomile protects against a large number of pathogenic microorganisms and restores natural immunity. It shows beneficial effect against a number of female problems associated with premenstrual and climacteric syndromes.

Camomile essential oil is produced from annual plant of common camomile (Matricaria chamomilla L. in Latin) by distillation it with water vapor; 200 kg of raw material is required for production of 1 kg of essential oil. Camomile grows in Europe, India, and South America. Chemical composition of the essential oil: chamazulene (4 to 17 %), bisabolol, verduzalen, cadinene, farenzen.
In Ancient Egypt, camomile was especially respected because of its comprehensive therapeutic properties. Hippocrates compared camomile with the Sun and used its flowers for treatment of malaria. In ХVII century, camomile was grown in cloisters and private gardens. Pilgrims brought it in the New World. Camomile oil was used in Egypt as antiseptic since ancient centuries and till World War II.

Camomile essential oil inhibits a large number of pathogenic microorganisms and thus may be used for treatment of angina, bronchitis, laryngitis, conjunctivitis (camomile water), pneumonias and ulcers. The oil restores natural immunity and removes allergic reactions (bronchospasms, dermal allergy). It stimulates appetite and secretory/motor function of gastrointestinal tract, is useful against gastric and duodenal ulcer, mucous colitis. The oil is useful in resolution of female problems (cystitis, colpitis, vulvitis), especially associated with premenstrual and climacteric syndromes. Camomile essential oil is efficient analgetic and antiallergic agent. It is also used against catching cold. It reduces high body temperature (heat) in feverish states. It heals cuts and wounds. It removes stomach and intestine spasms, gas formation.
 

Contraindications
the same as those for taking common baths and aromatherapy procedures: vast skin leisons, acute period of skin and pediatric diseases accompanied by rashes; severe infectious inflammatory diseases accompanied by high body temperature; expressed cardiac insufficiency, severe form of arterial hypertension; bronchial asthma; oncologic diseases, tuberculosis.
Balneal aroma therapeutic procedures are not indicated for pregnant women and sucking children.
Balneal aroma therapeutic (BAT) procedures may be used for infants after consulting a doctor only.
Instead of common aroma baths, it may be recommended for patients, depending on indications, to take half-baths, local baths, wet wiping.
The concentrate shall not be used in case of hypersensitivity to its ingredients.

Storage conditions: keep at room temperature away from children.

 

Dosage: 30 mL of the liquid concentrate is diluted under the water stream in the entire bath volume.
Water temperature: 34 to 37 °C
Procedure duration: 10 to 20 min.

Course of treatment: 8 to 10 procedures.
